Did you know that soil is not dirt? It’s true, and since our health is bound up in the health of the land, it’s important that we understand our soils – how they are formed, what they are made of, and how we can gain a better understanding of soil health through some simple tests we can do at home. Julie Hart, ecologist and Director of Education at the Dutchess Land Conservancy, will present this informative and interactive workshop. We will explore the complex and lively world beneath our feet, and gain a better understanding and appreciation of this often overlooked resource. Free to attend. Open to all audience members.
