Join us on Wednesday, December 14th at 5:15 pm at The O Zone to make your own simmer pot jars! These jars will include everything needed to make a simmer pot to make your home smell amazing during the holiday season and in the new year. Simmer pots can include things like dried apples and oranges, cinnamon, cloves, lavender, rosemary, and more - almost like a potpourri. You can even use apple peels and orange rinds. You place them all in a pot with some water and simmer it on low on your stove for a couple of hours. They can also be used to set intentions for the new year (or even at the beginning of each month). Different ingredients can symbolize different things to you, like cinnamon for prosperity and luck, orange for positivity, rosemary for peace and protection of your home, and more. When you’re all done simmering, just throw everything in your compost bin! These simmer pot jars are an amazing idea to make gifts for loved ones this holiday season, and they just so happen to be easy and low waste (and pretty)! We will have materials to wrap them up with instructions and labels. $15 includes enough materials for one simmer pot jar, with the option to pay $10 for each extra jar if you want to make multiple as gifts.
